Highland Towers Mystery in Bukit Antarabangsa
The famous Highland Towers! One of the three main blocks crumbled down to mother Earth on 18th December 1993 taking with it 48 victims on that fateful day.
Since then, the Highland Towers have become
famous for claims of being a very haunted place. There are also a story
about a taxi driver who picked up a woman passenger at the middle of the night
and being asked to drop her at the place. She left a bag and the poor taxi
driver found it to be full of blood!
Inside the tower,
some people discover that there is many rice box contain foods for the
prayers to the lost soul. Most the the food eaten by stray dogs, and Block B
& C entrance got the container for burning hell note. Block B & C is
being abandon for long time and it becomes more creepy and ever.
Stories of weird dogs chasing cars in the middle of the night and youngsters being possessed while ghost hunting circulated like wildfire until today. Voices of the dead can be heard at night and ghostly figures are said to have appeared at the scene. Even the police wouldn't dare to go on a patrol there at night!
Rescuers heard knocking and
voices right up to the seventh day after the collapse. Only three people,
including an infant, were pulled out from the rubble alive, and only within the
first 24 hours. One of them died later in hospital.
In recent years, they have been
the site of much vandalism and the buildings are now in almost complete
disarray and ruin. In 1998, five years after the tragedy, a team from the Court
in charge of the lawsuit visited the Towers and found out to be entirely
stripped of its contents, leaving just a naked structure. Drug addicts take the
abandoned apartments as a temporary shelter. Rather eerie, the
abandoned towers continue to loom out of the green density of the jungle,
looking out over the Taman Hillview area.
